Another Successful Back-to-School Shopping Event
August 2014 marked Project Lemonade’s third back-to-school free shopping event for foster youth living in the greater Portland metro area. Nearly every youth who came to the store walked away with new or nearly new denim, coats, shirts, shoes, socks, underwear and accessories such as backpacks. We served 1,700 Foster youth in nine counties with an estimated 4,000 hours of volunteer time.
First Fundraising Luncheon Nets $90,000
With a lot of hard work and dedication, Project Lemonade volunteers organized our first successful fundraising luncheon held on September 19, 2014. More than 300 guests attended the luncheon at the Multnomah Athletic Club. We wish to thank the following sponsors for stepping up to make the event so successful:
